Why — the first-principles explanation
Three separate walls stand between "a model can write prose" and "you have a novel." They're independent, and clearing one does nothing for the others.

- Outline scene by scene with your own intent — who wants what, what blocks them, what breaks. Hand the model scenes, never 'write me a novel'.
- Use it for transformation: draft this scene from these beats, tighten this page, give me six versions of this line. It's strong at shaping material and weak at deciding what should happen.
- Rewrite substantially in your own voice and judgment. Under the Copyright Office's January 2025 report, your protection comes from expressive elements you determined — not from prompt length or effort.
